In the wake of the Dorobanti Tower designer by architect Zaha Hadid in Bucarest, a metallic weft is thread to draw ou a soft geometry. Leitmotif of designer Dina Jsr’s Fall/Winter 2013/2014, these angular and precise figures are laser-cut, intertwine and repeat themselves.

One by one, they structure and soften every model with a clever mix of material: playing around with subtle layers of transparency, light laces and evanescent tulle appear amongst precise strips, sheathed with black leather or amethyst-colored crêpe Georgette.

Next, dizzy volumes of enchanting forest green or theatrical red Gazar contrast with imperial yellow satin sheath dresses and other shimmering lentghs, rhythmed by viola straps and gold-threaded lace.

Ever more flowing, a complex pattern, designed by Dina Jsr since her debut, composes a luscious landscape of volutes, arabesques and paisley that recalls the ottoman shores. Luxuriant, this motif is unveiled by transparency through a clever construction game: laser-cut on leather, then place on crêpe, it stands out like a new type of lace. Printed on Duchesse satin, it stands alongside skin-colored tulle and becomes alive, almost like a second skin.

In detail, cuts are daringly precise. A triangle-sculpted frieze underlines the neckline like a matching jewel. Further ahead, other dresses striate with perspective and rays, with embedded squares and kinetic architecture that sheath the silhouette and wrap it in graphic arrangements.

Some models even evoke a welcome skewness that conjures a free attitude. Others wrap the waist with conical streak, which suggest a welcome transparency… and a very sexy look.
