Leonard Ready-to-Wear Fall-winter 2008-2009

The Leonard automne-winter 2008-2009 seoson is all about fuller shapes. Architectural cut inserts, as shiny patent leather braids or satin patches with metallic resonances melded with airy volumes. Shoulders are rounded and feminine on jackets and dress sleeves become light. Prints are mixed. Leonard’s famous flowers are shown against graphic prints. The “Copt” is declined in a woodsy palette of brown, russet, topaz and saffron, thin plastic stripes shimmering on black, charcoal and taupe geometric chiffon. Paisley designs are back in warm brown, mauve and paprika hues. The long gowns focus on the “House fuchsia” mixed with orange, mauve and green with contrasting solid whool metallic satin embellishments. Majestically ultra-violet combined with silver highlights the gowns with extreme sophistication. Coordinated accessories emphasize the silhouette, cuff bracelets, corset belts, and peony jewelry as flowers give off a poetic note.
