Dreamy girl

Dany Atrache Couture S/S 2017

This season, designer Dany Atrache invites himself into the world of secret gardens. The artist imagines a romantic muse that is transported by the rays of a Spring sun to a far away land. As Atrache says, “the idea was to create a collection inspired by a dreamy girl, who fantasizes about being in Nature, where dreams take her away from daily troubles and problems”.

It’s almost as if this dreamy girl is a projection of Atrache himself, floating in his imagination, leading us through fairy-like gardens, and earthly beauty. A romantic escape where “The living is easy”, as the fabrics of the collection mix muslin, organza, lace, guipure, silk, satin, and silk crepe and combines them with flowers embroideries that are so dear to the designer. The collection is fluid and ethereal with a beautiful manipulation of the light that varies in tones of pink, water green, aqua blue, mauve, white, and silver. As we observe his line, we notice that the modernity does not interrupt the delicateness that is expressed through the silk pastel tonalities. We selected 7 looks to highlight his collection (and of course, you should also visit the complete collection here on Orient Palms).

The beauty of the piece below lies in the nonchalant drapery of the muslin top cascading airily, exposing one shoulder. The top is paired with a contoured skirt covered with silk organza flowers. A black thread delineates the flowers and leaves in a completely refined way.

This cocktail dress features off-white lace, embroidered in leaves made of silk threads and crystals, and is enhanced with feathers.

A blush pink lace dress, embroidered in flowers of Tafton and leather of gold.

Almost magically, the flowers come together to form this dress in rose pastel guipure.

A mermaid mauve organza dress with an added layer of golden lace highlights the silhouette, with glamorous folds at the base of the dress.

This long laser-cut lace tulle dress is incrusted with floral motifs and features a pearl embroidered vest. The rigid geometric vest contrasts well with the flowing and skin-bearing green tulle.

This grey silk taffetas dress dazzles with a guipure top in mauve and grey tones and with flower-shaped shoulder sleeves The waistline features feather protruding shapes made of silver silk lurex.
