Tony Ward in Mexico

Lebanese designer Tony Ward was invited by Saks Fifth Avenue and Chi St. Luke’s Health to celebrate the 20th anniversary of Caritas San Marón I.A.P Foundation in Mexico. The designer showcased the best of his two latest collections in Couture and in Ready-to-Wear in a fashion show on November 10, 2016.

The Couture dresses that were presented are from the Fall Winter 2016/17 collection called Envol. Inspired by the wild beauty of a majestic imperial bird, the designer sheds the light on a rebellious and pure woman whose duality appears in the rich contrasts and structural forms nuanced by an intriguing mix of material work.

The Ready-to-Wear dresses, from the Spring Summer 2017 collection named Fantasy Escape invite us to a new dimension; a world full of dreams and magic, purity and emotion, through the abstract and elusive patterns and through the use of subtle pastel colors.

The Fashion Show was followed by a Trunk Show at Saks Fifth Avenue, where a percentage of the proceeds was donated to the Caritas San Marón Foundation that helps underprivileged people in meeting their basic subsistence requirements. For instance, the Nutritional Program of the foundation reaches 300 families living in indigenous communities.
